昨日、だし汁をとっておいたお雑煮。うちのは東京で一般的な、鶏と小松菜の醤油仕立てです。そして、私の大好物のタコ!今年は年女がいます。ZOUNI which we prepared soup stock yesterday. There are various local ZOUNI and my family's one is simply chicken, green leave called KOMATSUNA and steamed fish paste soya souse based. ZOUNI always contains MOCHI the rice cake. The middle photo is my favourite, marinated octopus. Our chopsticks paper case is marked with our own birth year animal. This year is Mouse year and one of my family is born in the same animal year.
子年の今年は、お重にもネズミの形の大根が入っていました。There is a mouse shaped radish in JYU BAKO.
お酒。最近、我が家は、ガラスの酒器が好きみたい。Another sake for the dinner.

The last day of this year. We open the first tiered box. It is always western food inside and we enjoy it with wine.
This is the buckwheat noodles eaten on New Year's Eve.
この二つに鶏がらスープを加えて、我が家のお雑煮となります。These two plus chicken stock make the soup base for New Year's soup called ZOUNI.
こうして明日の準備をだいたいして、年を越す我が家です。新しい年は、早いスタートです。We have prepared for the New Year's feast! Tomorrow starts early.

お歳暮です。まながつおの粕漬け。
Year-end gift, 'OSEIBO' It is the custom in Japan to express our gratitude. This one is marinated fish called MANAGATSUO.
こんな新鮮な野菜も届きました。5kg以上もある白菜!!!
Fresh vegetables. Chinese-leaf called HAKUSAI was over 5kg!
カニの足と共に、鍋に入れました。大御馳走。
We had them with crabs in the hot wok.
甘いお菓子も届きます。身体に優しい懐中汁粉。
Traditional sweets! Just adding the boiling water then we can enjoy heart warming custard like taste.
ご馳走様でした!
GOCHISO SAMA!

Tomorrow is the last day of this year and the beginning of the New Year festive food.So I will introduce Japanese everyday meal today. We don't have 'Sushi' everyday, you know?
The 'welcome home' dinner for me to start.

三が日が明けたらロンドンへ戻るので、今日で大体の買い物を済ませました。
あとは、出発直前に買う食べ物だけです。
I am leaving for London just after the first three days of a new year which are bank holidays.
So I finished the shopping in Japan except the food normaly I but it just before leaving.
お茶漬け海苔、五家宝(ごかぼ)そして電子レンジ用もち焼き網。
Ingredient for Ocha-zuke, boiled rice with hot green tea poured over it, Gokabo, Japanese sweet, and a ricecake roaster for microwave oven.
そして渡すよう頼まれた物。
And the thing I have been asked to take to Yoshi.
食べ物はまだ買っていないので、今は自分用に買った物の方が多いです・・・
I haven't got food for souvenir yet so I have lots for myself...

そんなことはありませんでした。木版画にも色々な方法があるようです。
I wrote Woodcut is predictable and I am not fancy to it as my work... but it was wrong.
There are various ways of doing it!
So I will do it more.
